Maynard was a four-time AFL All Star?and played for the?Super Bowl III?Champions. The Jets?retired?Maynard's No. 13 in his honor. He was inducted into the?NFL Hall of Fame and?included on the?AFL All-Time Team.
Maynard died from complications of?dementia, among other ailments, at a care facility in Ruidoso, New Mexico on January 10, 2022, at the age of 86.
